New partners, new products, new websites – we look back at the highlights of 2024
The year is slowly drawing to a close. We would like to thank all our customers and partners for their excellent cooperation and take a look back at 2024.
Modern look: New website for PDM Studio and CAD Partner
There were two premieres at the end of the year: We were proud to present our new websites for CAD Partner and for the PDM Studio solution. We put a lot of time and passion into the projects with the aim of presenting our exciting content to you in an even more appealing and, above all, modern way. The usual solid information about our innovative CAD and PDM/PLM solutions for mechanical and plant engineering now has a new guise. Please, look around!
PS: The new CAD Partner Update has replaced our previous PDM Studio Newsletter. From now on, you will receive the latest news on all our solutions for product data management, parts list management and design.
New on the market:
Automated parts list generation with BOM Studio
Your BOMs are generated from numerous sources and different input formats and are laboriously created and managed anew each time (for different purposes such as purchasing, manufacturing, service)? We have developed a new solution for this challenge, which will be available on the market in 2025: BOM Studio, our innovative software for automated BOM creation, enables access to required information from the desired sources – without delay, 100% traceable and error-free, and with minimal staff involvement. The data is harmonized, recompiled based on definable rules and exported in various formats as parts lists!
Worldwide network: New partners for PDM Studio
In 2024, we were able to add two new partners to our global PDM Studio network: CAD Central Limited is a New Zealand software provider for engineering design, simulation and data management. With FTD infocom, we have gained another sales partner in India. These partnerships are an important milestone for our network.
Compact knowledge: PDM guide as a white paper
The efficient management of product information is a decisive factor when the product portfolio grows, and the number of variants increases. This is because it affects the entire technical value chain, from development and documentation through to service and support. This year, we have written a white paper on precisely this topic: It explains how a suitable product data management solution can help to ensure interdisciplinary consistency and data integrity. We present five essential criteria that you should consider when selecting a PDM solution.
Up-to-date: New functions for PDM Studio
PDM Studio, our product data management solution for SMEs, has also gained numerous new functions this year. Maintenance Packs 5 and 6 offer helpful features and optimizations. Our highlights:
- Status visibility: control which status is visible/accessible for users
- Easy information reuse: copy & paste listings from PDM Studio to other applications
- “Static window”: pin a specific document with structure for quicker access
- More flexibility: New features for export and import of documents
- Support of the latest CAD Versions of Solid Edge, NX, SOLIDWORKS and Inventor
- Predefined queries for documents, articles and projects
- “Clever Import” with option to replace the default template
- Extended search option “Search by used template”
- Enhanced validation in “Copy Assistant”
Our developers are already working hard on further innovations and optimizations for PDM Studio. You can look forward to the coming year!
